Majorcom, an expert in comfort and security sound systems in France and abroad for 50 years, had a WordPress site developed with Divi and WooCommerce.
Over time, the site developed numerous technical and performance problems:
Main objective: to modernize the architecture, improve site speed and reliability, and simplify content management.
The site was entirely migrated to the new WordPress FSE (Full Site Editing) architecture, based on the Gutenberg block editor. This transition has simplified content management, improved the site’s visual consistency and laid a modern technical foundation for future developments.
The FSE approach now offers total layout flexibility, without dependence on a heavyweight builder like Divi.
The old WooCommerce module, now useless for a simple product presentation, has been replaced by a Custom Post Type “Products”.
This new structure considerably streamlines the site, while allowing simple, rapid, centralized management of product data sheets.
Each product is now treated as native WordPress content, making updates, SEO indexing and maintenance easier.
One of the main objectives of this redesign was to correct the slowness and instability of the previous site.
Thanks to in-depth work on the code, database and server configuration, loading times have been cut by more than a factor of five.
Targeted optimizations of SQL queries, images, caching and scripting have resulted in a fluid experience both on the visitor side and in the back-office.
As part of the redesign, we implemented a comprehensive SEO strategy designed to boost Majorcom’s organic visibility.
Our approach consisted in auditing the existing site, correcting the technical obstacles to referencing and structuring the content to meet search engine requirements.
We set up a coherent internal mesh, optimized semantic markup (titles, Hn, metadata) and redesigned the site’s architecture to make it easier for Google to understand.
The aim: to guarantee sustainable SEO growth, supported by a fast, stable and technically optimized site.
The actions taken during the redesign had an immediate and measurable impact on Majorcom’s natural referencing.
Thanks to technical optimization, content restructuring and improved SEO tagging, the site now benefits from more effective indexing and better visibility on strategic queries related to its products and services.
The redesign has resulted in a significant increase in Google positions, with an average gain of six places since going live on targeted keywords, strengthening Majorcom’s presence in search results.
Average positioning has risen by six places since going online, with particularly significant progress on strategic keywords (compared to the same period last year), in both languages. Among the terms that showed a clear improvement were :
On several of these queries, the site was previously virtually non-existent. It now enjoys real visibility and continues to gain notoriety. This progression testifies to the rise in authority of the domain, which should encourage sustainable organic growth in the months to come.
6 places gained on average in search results in one month
This redesign demonstrates that our expertise is not limited to graphics, but extends to a complete technical and functional rebuild.
We were able to transform an existing site, initially designed with a heavyweight editor (Divi + WooCommerce), into a modern, high-performance and flexible tool thanks to WordPress FSE / Gutenberg. This approach enabled us to reuse the existing design and foundations, while reducing the costs associated with a total redesign.
The result: a site that’s faster, more stable and, above all, more effective as a marketing tool. Majorcom now has a modern, scalable and optimized platform capable of supporting its long-term digital strategy, proving that it’s possible to make new things out of existing ones, while still achieving top-level performance.
