Course Eiffage du Viaduc de Millau

The rush of web design

Every two years, 14,000 runners gather on the Millau Viaduct to travel 23,7 km in the highlands of the Tarn. Pretty impressive as in the first race there were only a hundred runners!

It was evident they needed to both inform race veterans and to attract new participants. To meet the challenge, the Eiffage Race chose WS and we formed a crack squad.

On your mark, get set…go!

What’s the prognostic?

Training was essential in order to avoid an online false start. For the Eiffage Race, we needed:

  • a heavy dose of creativity. Just announcing the event was not enough! Runners needed to be encouraged to register.
  • a simple management system. Last-minute updates are crucial!
  • a robust interface. Peaks in visits couldn’t crash the site.

And we’re off!

WS puts its number on

Digital challenges never frighten our web engineers. On the contrary, we love ’em!

We thus created an intuitive and dynamic interface which gives quick access to relevant information. Content that informs and reassures, all on a responsive platform thanks to Automne CMS.

Pictures, videos, live-streaming the race, a countdown, an English version…WS won the web design challenge.

By the way, our WS “dad” ran the race ! We swear, he did.
